Theme & Store Development: common questions
Do we need to rebuild our theme from scratch?
Usually not. If you're on a vintage theme, a migration to 2.0 is worth it. If you're already on 2.0, targeted section and feature work is normally the better spend.
Can you work with our design team or Figma?
Yes. I regularly build from designs and coordinate specs with in-house teams and external agency partners.
Will the theme still get vendor updates?
If you're on a premium theme, I keep customisations structured so you can take updates. If we're building bespoke, that tradeoff is explicit — more control, no upstream updates.
Horizon or a premium theme?
Depends on your roadmap. Horizon is a strong, well-architected base; premium themes can save time if their feature set matches yours. I’ll give you a recommendation during scoping.
